Check Out Britney Spears' Video for 'Hold It Against Me'
It's been more than a year since Britney Spears has released a video, but never fear Brit fans, her vid for "Hold It Against Me" is finally here.
In a dazzling mix of dancing and surrealism, Britney Spears dances, kicks and punches her way through a video that gets very weird without crossing into Gaga territory. Fans are in for a surprise around the 2:40 mark in the video when it switches from a traditional style video to an awesome display of Britney's stranger side.
As the music glitches and pulses, Britney Spears flashes a digitally altered smile before spraying the room with paint from her fingers and then literally getting into a fight with herself that looks like it was lifted straight out of a videogame.

Britney Spears Releases Final HIAM Teaser
Britney Spears' fans have been patiently waiting for the “Hold It Against Me” video to drop, and the time has almost come.
The “Baby One More Time” babe released the 14th and final teaser for the clip today, reminding everyone to watch MTV tonight at 9:55 ET.
Following the world premiere of the video, Britney will be chatting in a live discussion on MTV’s website at 11pm.

Britney Spears Releases Teaser #7, Takes Fans Questions
Halfway through the two week tease preceding the release of her music video "Hold It Against Me," Britney Spears has unveiled the song's seventh teaser clip.
The seven-second behind the scenes oriented clip shows a puzzle piece opening up before the words "Hold It Against Me" take over the screen followed by a quick shot of Spears' face.
One fan asked, "if your boys reely want to be in the entertainment industry would u support em?"
To this, Spears replied, "Yes. I would support anything they had a love for."
Another follower tweeted, "Did u write any track on FEMME FATALE? How would u describe the album? <3"
Britney Spears answered, "I would describe it as moody, edgy pop with A LOT of energy.I co-wrote a couple of songs. I think its some of the best work I have ever done"
With hundreds of questions pouring in, a Spears fan asked of her upcoming plans, "when can fans expect performances and promotion of hold it against me to begin??"
Sounding as if we'll be getting a lot more Britney Spears in the upcoming future, she wrote back, "I'm doing a lot of promo. There will be some major announcements in the next few days."

Britney Spears' forthcoming video for "Hold It Against Me" is being heralded as genius by its choreographer. That may be true ... she's just not in all of it.
According to TMZ, citing a source close to the production, the singer couldn't nail the routines, so a dance double stepped in to do the difficult legwork.
Jonas Akerlund, the director, was upset that Britney Spears hadn't practiced enough so he asked her dance-double - Allison Kyler - to fill in. Things got heated.
Britney Spears supposedly left the "Hold It Against Me" set crying as a result.
A rep for Britney Spears says "The accusations could not be further from the truth. Britney worked extremely hard and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shooting."
The rep adds that Britney and Jonas got along great, and that "fans will immediately see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video."
Akerlund himself says "[Britney Spears] been great throughout the entire process. At the end of the shoot I got the warmest hug I ever got from an artist."
"I've been around long enough to know when an artist gives their all, and it doesn't get better than this. This video is f**king awsome. It's all Britney Spears."
Well, there are your two polar opposite accounts. Which do you believe?

This morning, as promised, she revealed its title and cover ...
"I've poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years. I put everything I have into it. This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!" the star Tweeted.
"Sexy and Strong. Dangerous yet mysterious. Cool yet confident!"
"FEMME FATALE' ... March ...."
In the accompanying cover shot, also Tweeted by Britney Spears herself, she wears little makeup and with her hair mussed, looking seductively at the camera.
Appropriate for an album being billed as one of her harder, edgier, grimier efforts. Its first single, "Hold It Against Me," certainly lives up to those descriptions.
The term Femme Fatale refers, at least in our interpretation, to a mysterious woman whose seductive powers over men often lead to dangerous situations.
Also appropriate for the incomparable Britney Spears, right?
While there's already controversy about her new music video and whether she uses a dancing/stunt double, so far the singer is letting criticism roll off her.
What controversy? A Femme Fatale thrives on such things.

Britney Spears has been hard at work filming her new video for her latest single, Hold It Against Me and released a sneak peek of what she’s been up to on her twitter account.
Day 1 of the HIAM shoot with Jonas. Such an incredible experience. I think this will be one of the best videos I have ever done. -Brit 1.The video is being directed by Jonas Akerlund, and in the picture that Britney Spears tweeted out she’s looking hot! Britney’s been working pretty hard lately and looking pretty run down, but she looks great in the picture! And I have to admit, I’m really looking forward to seeing this new video! What do you think of Brit’s new song?

After trash talking Britney Spears on Twitter about her new #1 single and how he "let her" have the top spot, Kanye West feels the need to clarify.
Because it's Kanye, some people assumed this was Taylor-Gate reloaded. But he was seriously not trying to start a feud with Spears, West insists.
Naturally, he took to Twitter again to rectify the situation.

Aside from his inability to spell Britney, and the fact that the Shift and 1 keys on his MacBook are going to fall off, his ramblings are fairly well reasoned, funny and self-deprecating. Mostly. Here's what the much-maligned rapper had to say:
Just saw that MSNBC said I tried to start a twitter war with Brittany.
This shit takes the air out my lungs sometimes from blogs to news reports… enough already!!! All I do is focus on my work.
There's a new lie everyday… a new media spin… I never got a watch with my face on it!!! A company tried to give that to me 9 yrs ago!
I'm one of the most considerate people in real life. Maybe over considerate. Over caring. Overly real.
There is no astronaut training for celebrity… even though this whole life is so outer space!
I was actually surprised that a record as raw as H*A*M could make it to #2 on Itunes.
How can u "let" someone be number one??!! That was the whole joke!!! I know intelligent people know this so bear with me.
When I said the comment about Brittney I was giving her props for being #1 not dissing her at all!
But stop making it seem that my aim is to hurt or down people! That's just not my style!
As pop stars we're all in this shit together! We on the inside of the TV!
If the media wants to make a story … just say I have atrocious spelling and terrible grammar…
If you don't give em a story they just make one up. I'm just trying to focus & stay creative! Keep bringing dope shit to the world!

All of you with kids KNOW what this is like: you’re out and about and one of the kids announces they have to go to the bathroom. Britney Spears and Jason Trawick apparently had that happen yesterday while they were out with Sean Preston.
They were spotted taking a bathroom break (security in tow) at a McDonalds. It looks like they practiced good self-control and didn’t buy anything to eat (and I think it takes considerable discipline to resist french fries
).Britney Spears looks exhausted, doesn’t she? Well, a day spent running around after little ones will do that to you- lol.

Kanye West pulled a Kanye West and trash talked Britney Spears and her #1 single, "Hold it Against Me," on Twitter. Jokingly, we think. Mostly.
"Yo Britney, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z's single is one of the best songs of all time! LOL,” Kanye wrote.
West's Tweet, of course, is a reference to his infamous Taylor Swift MTV VMA speech hijacking and to Kanye’s new song "H.A.M." (featuring Jay-Z).
While West later removed the Tweet, Spears' manager Adam Leber appeared none too impressed when he responded on the pop singer's behalf.
"Thanks for 'letting' us be #1," Leber wrote. "Much appreciated."
West later apologized for it, telling fans, "On a serious note I'm truly happy for Britney Spears. No hate in 2011... I thought LOL signified a joke."
Typically yes, but when you're a total loose cannon, sometimes the public won't automatically assume you're lighthearted or poking fun at yourself.
In any case, these guys aren't kidding about taking town Brit.
